Americans need "liberation"

Saying that U.S. citizens are oppressed by their own government, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez promised Friday that he would not visit the United States again until Americans "liberate" their nation.

I suppose those of us who have become slaves to politics are oppressed, but who is going to listen to a guy who is best friends with a tyrant? Oh, I guess half the American people listen to Bush, who is great friends with the Saudi tyrants...

Who cares if Chavez doesn't visit the US? I'm not losing any sleep over it. Although if he decides to start limiting oil exports to the US, we are in trouble. It'd be bad for his economy, but he's an ideologue.

    Anon doesn't know much about politics... Chavez is a foe of the gops. Maybe Anon just can't read. Righties accuse lefties of supporting Chavez, yet I have just criticized him. Still, a righty has to write some stupid comment that doesn't even go with the post. Typical.

    bush wasn't "blamed" for anything. i just answered my own question about listening to someone who is friends with a tyrant. maybe you should spend some time oppressed in saudi arabia to see what it's like living under a tyrant so you can think twice before voting for his friend.

    If Chavez doesn't like the US he shouldn't visit. Doesn't he have problems in his own country to worry about? I watched Evita, I know Argentina has problems. lol
