"I couldn't believe it," said Pulz, 44, who with her husband had long ago decided they could not afford a fifth child. "How can they make that decision for us? I was outraged. At the same time, I was sad that we had to do this. But I was scared. I didn't know what we were going to do."
Pulz was denied emergency contraception by a pharmacist who doesn't "believe" in birth control and is making choices for other people. There is a whole group of these "Pharmacists for Life" who refuse to dispense birth control. Yet these pharmacists have no problems selling drugs to people who are only taking them because they saw a television ad and asked their doctor about X. This culture of "I can take a drug to cure all of my problems" is based on exploitation by pharmaceutical companies who try to convince people that they are sick just to make a buck. That seems pretty immoral, doesn't it?
Perhaps the problem is much more simple. Perhaps these pharmacists should take Viagra, because obviously, they aren't enjoying sex enough to want to prevent people from having it.

try going to another pharmacy you moron!!!
ReplyDeletewhat the hell is "emergency contraception" anyway? could they not keep it in their pants? maybe some self-restraint would have helped.
Actually, the condom broke, moron. They were married people. Married people can't have sex?
ReplyDeleteShe already has five children. Why can't she go to the pharmacy down her street. Walgreen's is a big company, and it is not company policy to refuse people prescriptions. They whine and cry when they get fired. Maybe they should start their own Christian(TM) pharmacy where they won't be "persecuted for their beliefs." They can stock "bottled holy water" and "satan repellent" and post a sign "No Muslims Allowed."
so, the condom broke. and tell me again what the emergency was?!?!!?
ReplyDeletewhy couldn't they go to another store/truckstop bathroom to buy their "condoms"?
why couldn't they wait to have sex? What was the big rush? Did they both get overheated watching that lame Rosie O'Donnell movie this week?
Rosie played a retard? Not much of a stretch if you ask me....
They can break in the middle of action, retard!
ReplyDeletethen they can choose to continue or not. or was the right "forcing" them?
ReplyDeleteWow, other anonymous. You must be a virgin and missed sex ed. If a condom breaks, it's too late.
ReplyDeleteEmergency contreception is not abortion. A woman must take this pill within 72 hours after sex. Usually a woman cannot tell if she is pregnant in that amount of time.
It's not a left/right issue. It's a woman's choice and in this case a socially responsible one.
maybe other anon went to one of those schools where they don't teach sex-ed because it's "immoral."
