The Crusader castle at Byblos (Jbeil). What a beautiful place! Hard to imagine this was a battleground, but you can see in one of these shots, there's actually a cannonball lodged in the wall. How anyone could fight and kill amongst such beauty is beyond me. How anyone could fight and kill amongst anything is beyond me. Stupid, stupid.I'll be posting my photos even though I'm back in DC until I'm finished. Still have lots more!

ReplyDeleteLove the cannon ball in wall and lion with the weedy mane. Not only should you be a writer, but a photographer also. The tree lined walk is unbelievable. That could be in an art museum. Great job! Can't wait to hear all about your trip. ;)
