Another Moralist Misses the Mark
The only thing I have in common with George Will is a love for baseball. Now, he is blaming European secularism for the soon to be declining population of Europe.

Sorry. You are wrong on this one. Birthrates in Europe soared after WWII. Only one country had a large loss of the male population, Germany. There are currently 25 countries in the EU. Germany made up population-wise by the mid-1960's.
ReplyDeleteEurope's birthrate is currently pathetic. Look at Holland. Majority of population under 25 is non-European. Majority of Amsterdam and the Hague, all ages, are non-European.
So, the birthrate caught up after WWII, have since plummeted. Something is going on .....

i stand corrected on that. however, it doesn't change the fact that he is blaming secularism on the declining population. it's almost as if he is asserting they are being punished by god from getting away from the church.
