The use of the "mentally challenged" excuse is pathetic. This is the easiest way for the military to get out of any wrongdoing in this case. If she had been found guilty, she would have been a bad soldier, a black mark for the Army. If they had said she was just following orders, it would look bad for the chain-of-command, a black mark for the Army. If she is just proclaimed "retarded", everyone will forgive her for not knowing any better, right?
Pathetic. Does the Army really want to send the message that it has "mentally challenged" soldiers in charge of defending the country? England should be in a prison cell. Maybe there she could learn "right and wrong."
I'm tired of people using "mentally challenged" to avoid suffering the consequences of their action. Of course these people have mental problems, they committed awful crimes and only sick people could do that. It's why we have jails, to keep the seriously twisted out of society. Go serve your time, England.
