Oh say can you see... I'm sure the yellow ribbon is on the back. SUPPORT THE TROOPS! (TM)

This photo is from the Economist article "Rethinking the Axis of Oil."
James Woolsey, a former director of the CIA, envisions a geo-green coalition of “tree-huggers, do-gooders, sod busters and cheap hawks” pushing for energy independence. The oddest couple of all—Jerry Taylor of the libertarian Cato Institute and Dan Becker of the deeply verdant Sierra Club—have just issued a joint call for a radically different energy policy: a market-based, “zero subsidy” energy bill. If such coalitions really spring forth, then American energy policy, and the Axis of Oil, would be turned on its ear.
Libertarians and Environmentalists fighting for the same cause? It truly is a sign that the end is near...

ReplyDeleteit is not hard to see who will be doing the thinking in a libertarian/environmentalist coalition.
ReplyDeleteCertainly not the SUV driving libertarians. They won't be able to see past their market god.
ReplyDeleteas to the environmentally fascistic lunatics who worship on the altar of government?
ReplyDeletewhich is it- do they worship the environment or the government. it can't be both in the black and white world of the right.
ReplyDeletecorrection: they worship the environment and try to use the force of government to enforce their religion on the rest of us.
ReplyDeleteenvironmentalists may disagree with the government getting involved with the schiavo thing, but i am sure they admire the tactics.
i hardly think enviros are an evil bunch. not like this admin, which has set up concentration camps for its opponents. they use the force of gov to wipe out a religion they don't like and justify it by claiming it's in the interest of national security.
ReplyDeletewhere are these concentration camps? your reference implies gassing and ovens as well. please explain.
ReplyDeleteoh, i hate to bother, can you also actually document your hate rant response?
nope- i didn't say "extermination" camps. remember, we had concentration camps for the japanese during wwII, one of fdr's big mistakes.
ReplyDeletetry gitmo.
the admin has also done the innovative thing of exporting torture by deporting "suspected" terrorists to such wonderful places as syria for detention.
point out the hate? you don't think concentration camps are evil? i thought it was generally agreed upon that they are.
they are. your only problem is there are none in the US.
